Courses offered

  • GNM – General Nursing and Midwifery

Duration: 3 years 5 months

Eligibility: Pass with 10 + 2 or with a test equivalent to any subjects.

Foreign nationals: (Including Nepalese, Bangladeshi, Bhutan, and Tibetan refugees) admission of Diploma Nursing (GNM) students must have a valid 12th level obtained by the Indian University / Institution / Council or its equivalent.

Job Prospects & Career

Nursing is a full-time job and baptismal candidates who have acquired the necessary skills and education in the field of nursing and care may take up employment in hospitals, clinics, health departments, or may work as private health care providers.

GNM Diploma holders can also take up community services and can work for NGOs that disseminate medical awareness or help patients.

Salaries provided after GNM courses may vary from Rs. 1.5 lakh to Rs. 3lakh.

Some government jobs pay better packages for graduates who complete these courses.

  • Basic B.Sc. Nursing

Duration: 4 years

Eligibility: 10 + 2 with a 50% mark in science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology – Botany / Zoology).

If you were SC / ST you should have got less than 40% of your total marks in science subjects.

17 years completed at the time of admission or will end this year before or before 31 December of the year of admission

The college is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and accredited by INC, New Delhi. College is progressing for Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) the suitability of nursing to provide the necessary information and skills to provide comprehensive patient care for all types of illnesses following learning objectives.

Objectives

  • Post basic B.Sc. Nursing

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility:

  • After the GNM course Diploma with or without experience.
  • The candidate must be a registered nurse and registered midwife or equivalent to any state registered nurse council.
  • No person shall run for more than 48 years on 31 December of the year of entry.

Foreign nationals: (Including Nepali, Bangladeshi, Bhutanese, and Tibetan refugees) who want to enter Post Basic B.Sc. The nursing program must have a valid nursing certificate registered by their country of origin.

Affiliation

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing is a 2-year program in partnership with Rajiv Gandhi University Health Science, Bengaluru, Karnataka. The program has been approved by the Karnataka State Nursing Council & Indian Nursing Council. The healthcare sector has seen rapid progress in recent years and professionals who are part of the health system have also experienced significant growth rates.

PB B.Sc. The Nursing Program aims to prepare young professionals to take on the responsibility of specializing as specialists, counselors, teachers, medical professionals by providing advanced information provided in the classroom and clinical teaching and educational visits. The range includes nursing education institutions, clinical nursing, and community health nurse preparation for the community. Tests are performed every year.

 

  • M.Sc. Nursing 

Duration: 2 years Depending on the approval

Eligibility:

  • Successful B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) or Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing qualification or Post Office B.Sc. RGUHS nursing or another university recognized as equivalent to RGHS, Karnataka.
  • At least one year of experience after obtaining a B.Sc. Nursing at a hospital or nursing institution or in a public health facility. Selected for Post Basic Nursing, information is not required.
  • Become a registered nurse and midwife
