According to the official announcement released on March 17, 2025, the highly anticipated examination is slated for June 15, 2025. This pivotal assessment for postgraduate medical aspirants will be administered in a computer-based testing (CBT) format, segmented into two distinct shifts, adhering to a pre-defined timetable. Prospective candidates are strongly advised to consult the comprehensive notification available on the official NBEMS website, accessible at natboard.edu.in, for complete and detailed information.

The formal notification issued by the NBEMS explicitly states, “The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will conduct the NEET-PG 2025 on 15 June 2025 via a Computer Based Platform, organized into two separate sessions.”

Examination Pattern: NEET PG 2024 Framework

The NEET PG examination adheres to a standardized pattern, comprising 200 multiple-choice questions. Each question presents four potential response options, all formulated in the English language. Candidates are tasked with selecting the most accurate, appropriate, or optimal answer from the provided choices. The total allocated time for the examination is 3 hours and 30 minutes.

The scoring methodology dictates that for each correct response, candidates are awarded 4 marks. Conversely, a deduction of 1 mark is applied for every incorrect answer. Notably, no marks are deducted for questions left unanswered.

NEET PG: A Unified Gateway to Postgraduate Medical Education

The NEET PG serves as the singular entrance examination for admissions into a diverse range of postgraduate medical programs. This includes Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), Postgraduate Diploma courses, Post MBBS Diplomate of National Board (DNB) programs, direct 6-year Doctor of National Board (DrNB) courses, and NBEMS Diploma programs.
