GPA is referred to as GRADE POINT AVERAGE. This is a grade calculation based on your class 10 and class 12 marks. A higher GPA can get you admitted to the best medical colleges in Bangladesh. The students who aspire to study MBBS in Bangladesh need to meet the GPA requirements for classes 10 and 12.
There is a table for you to understand the GPA pattern easily. The marks you obtain denote different GPA points.
MARKS OBTAINED | GPA |
80-100 | 5 |
70-79 | 4 |
60-69 | 3.5 |
50-59 | 3 |
BELOW 50 | 2 |
Most of the medical colleges in Bangladesh require students with a GPA of 7 out of 10. But, some of the medical colleges grant admission to students who have a minimum GPA of 8 out of 10. But, GPA for Biology must be a minimum of 3.5 i.e 60%. The GPA for class 10 needs to be at least 3. The minimum GPA for class 12 will be 3.
So, after reading this article, I hope the confusion regarding GPA has been resolved. Actually, GPA is nothing but a calculation based on a formula. GPA is a major eligibility requirement for MBBS aspirants who want to take admission in Bangladeshi medical colleges.
